"Grown" by Robust is Galapagos4’s first official digital only release, and is evidence of the quality of the crop being cultivated over the 10 years the label has been planted firmly in the dirt Robust has finally created the album he as always wanted to, recorded in his own bedroom for maximum control without sacrificing quality. The rugged beats that make up the album’s backdrop compliment the straight forward, honest rhyme style that Robust has perfected.

The era of mid-90s classics such as OC’s "Word Life", Black Moon’s "Enta Da Stage" and Big L’s "Lifestyles..." comes to mind when "Grown" bumps. DJ Bizkid from Germany lends his turntable wizardry to the mix, bringing back the lost art of scratch sentences and simply raw cuts. Robust lends his clear 2009 outlook on his years growing up as an MC in Chicago to the mix, and the seed is sown.

The production on "Grown" comes mostly courtesy of one of Chicago’s mostly unknown beatmakers, but the one who’s about to make his mark. Known only as Max, he delivers 100% heat on the 10 tracks he produced. Also contributing to the album’s backdrop are Dreas (Heardrums Records), Nick Sena (who co-produced Robust’s previous effort "El Foto Grande") & Pore.
