Jackson Jones is a production-duo consisting of DJs Dallas Jackson and Dr. Jones. Making beats since 2001's debut 12" "Face Value" with Qwel, they have moved on to do production for many of the G4 artists as well as several full length albums with Qwel, including 2005's acclaimed masterpiece "Dark Day".
Jackson Jones has always been known for a more morose sound, stemming from the signature track "Vincent Van Gogh Coke Ad". Recent productions have seen this style continue at points, but also at times reverting back to mid-90s boom bap (on the limited edition "20th Street Rich" CD with Qwel) and progressing forward to future funk (on 2009's limited edition "Jump The Gun" CD with Qwel).
There are 2 installments of instrumentals from Jackson Jones, 2006's "Exquisite Corpse" & 2009's"At The Crossroads" that feature many vocal-less versions of the tracks Jackson Jones has produced for MCs as well as some featured instrumental only tracks.
